I had a very good experience with my dental practitioner. After explaining my options, they helped me choose what was best and did an excellent job. They went the extra mile to make sure everything was finished properly, and I really appreciated their care, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Exceptional Care and a Team That Truly Listens.Finding a dental practice that combines top-tier professionalism with genuine empathy isn't easy, but this clinic nails it. From the moment you walk through the door, the atmosphere is welcoming and calm, instantly putting any dental anxieties to rest. The entire staff is incredibly polite, courteous, and efficient. What truly sets them apart, however, is their rare ability to **listen and actually hear** their patients. They don’t just rush you through an appointment or push unnecessary treatments. Instead, they take the time to sit down, understand your concerns, and answer every question with patience and clarity. The clinical care is precise and gentle, but it’s that stellar communication and patient-first mindset that builds real trust. If you are looking for a dental team that respects your time, values your comfort, and treats you like a person rather than just another chart, I cannot recommend them highly enough. They have earned a patient for life!
Incredible receptionist, who sets up plenty of reminder emails, and a courtesy call ahead of the reservation. Friendly smiling, efficient service, and the dentists are also highly efficient, professional, and give excellent advice. Check ups can be booked +6 months, which makes the process even more efficient. Grateful to have such an efficient dentists - thanks!
After a very stressful dental experience elsewhere, I was incredibly fortunate to register with this family dental practice, and I cannot speak highly enough of the care I received. From the very first appointment, the entire team made me feel welcome and genuinely at ease. The dentist took the time to listen carefully to my concerns and understand my personal history, including long-term challenges with an eating disorder, previous smoking, and a serious caffeine habit. Rather than rushing into drastic solutions, they approached my situation with patience, compassion, and professionalism.I had previously been told that my lower front teeth would need to be removed due to gum and bone issues, which left me feeling extremely anxious and overwhelmed. However, this practice took a completely different approach. They thoroughly examined my teeth, clearly explained what was actually happening, and most importantly provided practical guidance on how to slow down further gum deterioration. Thanks to their care and advice, I have been able to keep my front teeth something I was originally told wouldn’t be possible. They also identified two cavities that needed fillings, which were treated promptly and comfortably. What really stood out to me was the level of compassion and respect I was shown throughout the process. I never once felt judged or rushed, and everything was explained in a way that helped me feel informed and in control of my own dental health. If you are someone who feels nervous about the dentist, has a complicated dental history, or simply wants a practice that genuinely prioritises patient care, I would wholeheartedly recommend this team. Their kindness and professionalism made an incredibly difficult situation feel manageable, and I’m truly grateful to have found them.
This dentist practice is excellent, my wife & I have been a client for many years, and we have only had great experiences always professional, well organised while remaining friendly and approachable.Tracy on reception is a great asset to the Practice… keep it up… Richard
I can’t recommend Family Dental highly enough. Mitesh is hands down the best dentist, especially if you’re a nervous patient like me, he’s calm, patient, and reassuring throughout every appointment. As a team they work well, the receptionist is always so professional, welcoming, and organised. The practice itself is modern, bright, An outstanding experience from start to finish! Thankyou gill
I've been a patient at this practice for some 15 years or so and have always been highly satisfied with the service. Appointments are well managed with text reminders and good availability at a choice of suitable times. Parking is plentiful. The reception is well run and friendly.Dental care is highly professional with excellent equipment and pleasant, clean examination rooms. Preventative advice is detailed and freely offered and, when treatment is needed, the process is empathetic, trustworthy and expertly administered. I found myself in need of a prosthetic replacement tooth recently and the whole experience was highly satisfactory, at a price comparable to other providers. (This was carried out as a private patient). I have no hesitation in recommending this practice.
Fabulous dental practice, friendly staff, who make you feel at ease and have provided me with excellent dental care which I have needed a lot of in recent years. Very grateful to be on their patient list.
I was desperate to be seen by a dentist and family dental care centre was available for NHS treatment. Thoughout the year I've been to several appointments and they are consistent in service and professional. The dentist and nurse always ask you if you are ok during the appointment and are there to answer any questions. The receptionists are engaging in a bit of chit chat when they have the time. Overall a good dental practice
Been coming to the practice for a while and always had a wonderful welcome by reception and the dentist.Had a filling done by Sharmila and her wonderful Dental nurse Bridget.Everything was explained to me and most of all it was pain free! Thank you.
The entire team at Family Dental Care Centre is exceptional. During my routine dental check-up, I was impressed by their welcoming, professional and caring approach. They provided clear explanations and outlined a plan for follow-up. I am grateful for the outstanding service you and your team deliver.
My husband visited Mitesh with a chipped front tooth and was so impressed with the service he received. Very friendly, professional and efficient pratice. Would highly recommend.
I had quite a bit of sudden tooth pain and needed some help, and I can't give family dental care more than five stars, but would if I could. After my first treatment I was still struggling a little and was seen again free of charge and got sorted quickly, and now fine. Very pleased!
Absolutely brilliant service. Had my first consultation and treatment at the practice, everyone is very welcoming and professional. Thankyou very much!

Don’t usually like leaving reviews but was overwhelmed by the excellent service provided by Basford Dental team namely Lesley, Anna and Nav. Lesley’s telephone handling is exemplary. Please pass on my thanks and keep up the great work. Thank you once again
I deleted my previous review as I saw a different dentist at the practice.I am a very anxious person, I have mixed mental health conditions and fibromyalgia, because of this I very rarely go and I avoid people like the plague (apart from my son and mum). I also have dental phobia.I hadn't been to the practice since 2019 because when I was last there the dentist hurt my mouth and didn't listen to what I was telling her, which was quite frustrating because as someone with anxiety and depression, I'm told "oh you seem fine" when I'm talking to people but no, I'm not, I'm often just wanting to get out of wherever I am, this added to the dental phobia, then covid happened.I saw Dr Zarina Ahamad, she seemed very nice, attentive, she wanted to address each thing that I was worried about, she did talk over me a little bit but it was nothing bad, she did take xrays of the 2 areas that I was concerned about, said she'd talk to me about TMJD and BMS when I go back and that if I was still having issues with the lump/swelling in my mouth that she'd refer me to the hospital. I was very surprised when she said she could put a crown on my front tooth because I thought it would need pulling so that made me feel a bit happier. The only faults I have is that I couldn't hear her properly when she had her mask on, I do have a bit of an hearing issue plus tinnitus so I can't always hear people especially if they are turned away or their faces are covered and there was a bit of talking over the top but as I said, it was nothing bad. One other thing, she did say something that bothered me a little bit and I think this is because so many people say it then I end up feeling like they think I'm lying about my mental health, she said I seemed ok and I was nice enough etc, as someone with anxiety and depression due to the nature of them I am never ok, especially not when I'm around people that I don't know, I tend to put on a bit of a front and will seem fine to a degree, I also do something called fawning as well, so I might seem and look like one way but inside I feel a different way, plus I'm not a rude person and I knew this appointment was an examination so no work was being done. I'm not complaining, I'm just giving feedback. The practice itself is very clean and tidy, the toilet is a bit low for disabled people such as myself but still clean.
The team at Family Dental Care Centre are amazing. From the time I hear Tracey's voice on the phone to the time I leave Dr Panchal's office, everyone is reassuring, professional, and kind. I am grateful to the team for sorting out my dental treatments, and especially thankful to them for arranging an emergency dental appointment that left me very stressed and upset. Dr Panchal and his team fixed the problem swiftly and professionally with follow-up appointments. They make it look easy!Thank you to everyone at Family Dental Care!
I went to the Family Dental Care Centre yesterday and saw Mitesh for a whitening consultation, he was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. I would highly recommend this practice.
First impressions were very good! All staff very helpful and friendly. I saw Mitesh and he was excellent, very thorough and answered any questions I had. Cannot fault my experience!
My daughter has ASD and Selective Mutism and dreads anything to do with teeth. She has always refused to wobble any and had ended up with a baby tooth embedded in her gum at a right angle to the new one but would never show me or tell me. The lovely, patient dentist removed the tooth with care and patience, telling her what was happening every step of the way, removing it under local anaesthetic. My daughter, whilst clearly anxious, was totally put at ease. I was allowed me to hold her hand during the tough bits. Thank you so much.
This dentists is absolutely fantastic and I feel so lucky to be a patient here. Every single person that works in the surgery is so professional and friendly, it's like coming in to see your friends. Keep up the good work guys, and thank you for your care. 😁
Great experience, not a patient but needed emergency treatment, they got it all sorted within hours for me, the receptionist Tracy was amazing friendly kind and extremely helpful definitely recommend, and 100% wanting to register as a patient here
Those that read my reviews here and on Trustpilot know that I am very particular about service and care especially where vulnerable people are concerned. This surgery is absolutely first-class and I've visited many over the years. Let's not get bogged down with appointment complaints because we all know how difficult times are at present. What counts is that the service provided is professional, sensitive to needs and friendly. Both myself and my autistic son have nothing but praise. Five stars.
Made to feel comfortable explained my options no pressure wat so ever under these times with pandemic they are so professional and understanding would definitely give then 10/10 thankyou
I hate having to visit a dentist, being as over the years I have had more than one bad experience, but my visit to this surgery was absolutely wonderful. I would certainly recommend anyone who is afraid of dentists to go along to this one. I was made to feel at ease as soon as I walked in the door, before any treatment was given .
